4 Must Haves for a Football Party in Your Apartment

The arrival of fall brings crunchy leaves, cooler temperatures and…football season! Want to invite some
friends over to watch the next game? Here are four must-haves for a successful football party in your
apartment.
  • TV: You can’t watch the game without a TV. The larger the screen, the better!
  • Food and Drinks: Make sure you have plenty of food and drinks to go around. One idea is to have everyone bring a snack, drink, side or dessert to supplement the food and drinks you’re already supplying.
  • Seating: In addition to your couch, place extra chairs and stools around your apartment with a visible view of the TV. Borrow some chairs from your neighbors or friends if you’re short.
  • Friendly Competition. Ask the folks you invite to show their spirit by wearing their favorite team’s colors.
Now, sit back, relax and enjoy the game!

Reminders:

Be a Polite Pet Owner

If you’re a pet owner, you probably consider Fluffy or Fido to be an important member of your family. Pets
bring joy to our lives, but they also bring additional responsibility. Here are three tips to help make sure
you – and your pet -- are good neighbors.
  • When you take your dog for a stroll, always bring along a few pet waste baggies to clean up after them.
  • Keep your pet on a leash when outdoors. If you pass a neighbor, make sure to give him or her plenty of space to pass by.
  • All dogs bark, but if yours barks constantly, it can get annoying for your neighbors. If you receive complaints from your neighbors, don’t get defensive. Instead, research what you can do to curb the barking, such as investing in doggie daycare or playing music in your apartment so Fido isn’t so conscious of every move your neighbor makes.

Seasonal Recipe:

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Scoop out the seeds of a pumpkin. Discard the stringy fibers and rinse the seeds well. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil.

Add the seeds, reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes. Drain seeds well and pat dry. Place seeds in a bowl and toss with oil. Spread seeds in a single layer on a baking dish. Roast seeds at 250 degrees, stirring every 10 minutes, until just crisp and golden brown, for about one hour. Cool completely and enjoy!

Community Housekeeping:

Brighten Your Own Day with a Smile

Here we are having to talk about PERMIT PARKING ONLY, DUMPSTER USE, AND CLEANING YOUR DRYER VENTS.

If you have a guest that is parking in the parking lot without a permit, they will be towed at their own expense. Please make sure you are flattening all cardboard and making sure your trash gets placed into the dumpsters and not on the ground around it.

And finally, please remember to clean your dryer vent after each use. You can contact the office if you have any questions regarding these items.

NOTICE:

At this time the Rent Drop Box is temporarily out of order.

If you usually put your rent check in the Rent Drop Box because you are not able to get in the office during business hours,  we want you to know that the office is now open on Saturdays from 10am - 4pm. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
